Raspberry Crumble Muffins

I love how these photographs have turned out!
My friend Raisa (twitter: @raisa_z) edited them. We are now going to collaborate on the photographs where I take them and she edits them!

These were some raspberry crumble muffins I made for a picnic in the park. The occasion was a staff gathering for all of us who work at the Writing Center at AUS. The weather was fabulous and the company was great. I hadn't had a picnic in the park in so long and this was definitely fun.

Enjoy the pictures! :)

Gingerbread biscuits at Sally's!

So today I had a lovely afternoon with all my food blogger friends from our group "Famished in Arabia"! This time, in the Christmas spirit, we gathered at Sally's home to decorate some wonderful gingerbread biscuits she had made!

It was such a lovely experience, the kitchen was full of women chatting, eating, baking, and decorating biscuits!

Check out Sally's blog here: mycustardpie.com
Ruth at Bon Appetit Review http://bonappetitreview.blogspot.com/ made some heavenly scones that we had with rhubarb jam.

Here are some photographs:

Pumpkin and Cinnamon Pasta with Capsicum, Onion, and Egg Wraps

I made these for dinner today. I didn't really like the recipe for the pumpkin pasta though and I'm thinking to make it again but omit the cream that was used and instead puree some pumpkin.. and so use double or triple the quantity of pumpkin used in this recipe. I'd also add lots more cinnamon. And perhaps some cumin, too..

The wraps were heavenly. I used tortillas, heated them up, spread them with a little of sour cream and sweet chilli sauce. Then, I fried some capsicum and onion and added some balsamic vinegar. I heaped a spoonful of the capsicum mixture on the tortilla and then topped it with some scrambled egg. The hardest part was wrapping the thing!

Macaroons edited by Raisa! :)

My lovely friend Raisa gave me a wonderful surprise this morning when she edited these photographs of my macaroons! I absolutely love the tone. It reminds me of a lot of Marie Antoinette the movie!

Coconut and Apricot Macaroons with Macadamia Blondies

I want to try baking something different. I feel like I stick to much to my comfort zone of cakes, cupcakes, and biscuits. So here are some macadamia blondies (which were left too long in the oven thanks to me forgetting about them!) and some coconut macaroons with dried apricot and white chocolate. The apricot and white chocolate can be replaced with glace cherries. I think that would work out really nicely.

Enjoy the photographs. Something was wrong with either me or my camera that day. Everything came out blurry.
